Re: 4th World Dragon & Lion Dance 
Championships& IDLDF Meeting Notice

Respected IDLDF Executive Committee Members and IDLDF Members,

Approved by IDLDF President Hu Jiayan and its Executive Committee, the 4th World Dragon & Lion Dance Championships will be hosted from May 8 to 13, 2009 in Shanghai, China while the IDLDF Executive Committee Meeting and Congress will tie in with the said championships.

To facilitate your arrangement, we hereby provide you with the initial schedule for your perusal.

Timing:

May 8, 2008 – Arrival

May 9, 2008 – Training

May 10-12, 2008 – Competition

May 13, 2008 – Departure

Venue: New District of Pudong, Shanghai, China

Events:

1. Dragon Dance (7 events) -- optional exercise, compulsory exercise, sortition exercise, obstacle exercise, high speed exercise, traditional exercise and all round (accumulation of all individual events). Top three winners of each event will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.

2. South Lion (7 events) -- optional exercise, compulsory exercise, sortition exercise, obstacle exercise, high speed exercise, traditional exercise and all round (accumulation of all individual events). Top three winners of each event will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.

3. North Lion (7 events) -- optional exercise, compulsory exercise, sortition exercise, obstacle exercise, high speed exercise, traditional exercise and all round (accumulation of all individual events). Top three winners of each event will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.

The IDLDF is tentatively schduled from May 9 to 10, 2009. Main points of its agenda include:

1. Approval of the 7th IDLDF Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

2. IDLDF Work Report for the Year 2006 - 2008

3. Financial Report

4. Examination and Approval Nominations of the Sub-committees

5. Approval of New Membership Application

6. Approval of Alterations to the Statutes

7. Adoption of IDLDF Competition & Judging Rules

8. Date & Venue of the 5th World Dragon & Lion Dance Championships

9. Proposals during the Meeting

10. Any other business

Please kindly reply by no later than Nov 1, 2008, otherwise, your silence will be regarded as tacit agreement.

The IDLDF Secretariat will circulate the invitation and regulations of the championships upon confirmation.
